Q: What is your cancellation policy?

A: If I am alerted more than 24 hours in advance, there will be no cancellation fee and you are free to reschedule whenever you'd like. If you need to cancel within 12-24 hours, a 50% Same Day Cancellation fee will be assessed. If you're unable to give at least 12 hours notice or fail to make it to your appointment there will be a 100% fee.

The percentage is based on the total of all services booked.

I understand that life happens and some things are unavoidable but I have learned that I also need to protect the time I spend away from my family so I have set these fees to be automatic.

Q: How long does the hair have to be?

A: At the time of waxing, hair should be at least 1/4 of an inch. That's about the length of a grain of rice.

Q: With body waxing, How long will my wax last?

A: Most people find the best results with the least amount of pain right around the 4 week mark. Waxing every 4 weeks, especially at the beginning, will help your results last longer with less pain. Due to the varying hair growth cycles, your wax will last the longest after you've had 3 consecutive visits.

Q: Can I still get a brazilian wax if I'm on my period?

A: Absolutely. I do ask that you wear a tampon or menstrual cup during the service but aside from that its business as usual!! I will tell you it can be a bit more sensitive during that time though. I've had several clients that take an over the counter pain reducer before hand to help with the heightened sensitivity, but I will leave that up to you.

Q: Does it hurt?

A: The most common question. The answer is YES. Duh! Hairs are being removed at the root so theres no possible way for it not to hurt, But it's not as bad as The 40 Year old Virgin might make you think. I use a great wax that is wonderful on sensitive skin It has a lower melting point and will not remove skin like with many other waxes, causing more sensitivity. You wont leave my room in pain. It  may  be sensitive, but not painful afterwards.

Q: How do I reschedule?

A: Flare and Bare is a one woman show so it is EXTREMELY helpful if you book and rebook/cancel your own appointments, or book them when you are in the salon. If you're unable to do so, feel free to call 541-515-1375. Don't forget to leave a voicemail since I don't answer calls during appointments.

Q: Can you just squeeze me in somewhere??

A: There isn't much of an opportunity to just move my schedule around to fit someone in. I'm extremely flexible and will do what I can but I can't move someone else's appointment to fit you in. When I say I'm booked solid, that means that one client leaves and the other is typically waiting to be seen, leaving no room for a walk in or a last minute appointment. I'm more than happy to put you on a waiting list but there are no guarantees that anything will open up.
